Now testing on TestFlight

Bold Weather brings large type and plain language to the weather on iPhone. The app is in TestFlight testing as we refine the type, the layout, and the alerts.

Get an invitation

Email humans@itrtr.com with the subject “Bold Weather TestFlight”. We’ll reply with an invitation and the steps to install the beta through Apple’s TestFlight app.

The beta needs an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Your invitation lists the requirements for the available build.

A closer look at the iPhone app

The beta centers on one screen that shows the temperature, the chance of rain, the day’s high and low, and a sentence about what to expect. Hourly and 10-day forecasts are simple lists. Alerts are shown large with the issuing agency named, and the radar has big play and pause controls.

Explore the app to see how those details work together. You can also compare text sizes in the website preview.

For people already testing

Use TestFlight to find the available build and its release notes. Try Bold Weather with the text size you normally use, at your usual reading distance, and with the phone held the way you normally hold it.

Feedback about the size and weight of the numbers, the wording of the daily summary, the readability of alerts, and the spacing of controls is especially useful. Send it through TestFlight or contact the team.

Looking ahead to the App Store

The App Store release date and final pricing have not been announced. This is a beta, so features and details can change as testing continues.

In the meantime, get to know the large type forecast, find your way to use the app, or learn what a forecast means in our guides.
